Re: Rogers fans rejoice! It's a Holiday holiday!

What is remarkable to me is that for a public school instrument, it has not been trashed over the last 55 years. I know of a arts-magnet high school in my area that bought 4, 5x14 Ludwig bronze...

Camco Lineage?

So, I did a short bit on internet sleuthing. I'm not sure if this lines up, but if you have anything to add, I would love to hear it.

1967- Baldwin Pianos buys the Gretsch brand.

1971-...

Re: Identify Bass Pedal

I think the advantage of the Rocket pedal base would be that the connecting rod would be the same as the Swivomatic models. It would then be possible to attach a flat footboard .

Re: Gretsch FA BD pedal help

I believe you are dealing with Spring Pins also called Roll Pins, Tension Pins, and Expansion Pins, Spring Pins are hollow and slotted across the length to facilitate tension. Spring Pins are made of...

Re: Gretsch FA bass drum pedal-need help & parts-have no idea what it is???

Deansdrums59,

Unfortunately, the nut on the non-spring side of my Camco won't budge, so I have not been able to get it off. So I really can't help you there. Hopefully, someone who has totally...

Re: Gretsch FA bass drum pedal-need help & parts-have no idea what it is???

This pedal is identical to the Camco Pedal in every way except the logo on the foot board. I have been restoring my Camco and I am down to tracking down original thumb screws (Yes, I am too OCD about...

Re: Rogers Covington

The Covington era is over. Period. Where are these drums made and or assembled? Why no serial numbers? Why are there no humans associated with the company? The only contact for questions or info is a...

Re: Need quick ID on these Rogers

Hard to say (for me anyway). I would guess late Dayton (68-69)through the Fullerton era to 1975.
Looking closer, I notice ten lugs on the un-lined metal snare with the Rogers logo, so that would...

Re: rogers tension rods

Mark!

That's a beautiful drum you got there! I've always had a thing for Blue Glass Glitter.
I wonder if Rogers made their stuff "in-house" but then eventually realized they could save time and...

Re: rogers tension rods

I, too would like to know as well! I have a Cleveland, wood Powertone (#14664) 1966? with square heads, if that's any help. My 8x12 Dayton tom has the little flares-fillets-gussets, but I am not the...

Re: All Night Long: check it out

I've watched the clip twice and I have some observations.
If he is really playing (and he looks very convincing!), then the sound is just slightly off from the film action. There is at least a brass...

Smile Re: Found some 50's round badge

They look great. More pics needed for the Gretsch people here to weigh in. In the mean time, get that BD off the concrete floor!

Re: Rogers "Butterfly" Wing screw sizes?

After years of observing drum hardware failing due to plastic inserts cracking and pot metal threads stripping, I have returned to vintage hardware that is simply SOS (steel on steel). Problems...

Re: Rogers "Butterfly" Wing screw sizes?

Super information K.O.!
I've tried all the "butterfly" wing screw/bolts on my Swivo Hi-Hat and Cymbal stands and they are all too thick. Thank you for your input. I will get to a hardware store and...

Re: Rogers "Butterfly" Wing screw sizes?

Thanks K.O.
So If I understand you, 1/4 inch refers to diameter of the screw and 20 is the per inch thread count. Correct?

Rogers "Butterfly" Wing screw sizes?

Greetings All!

I am wondering if anybody has a breakdown on the measurements (Length, Width, thread count) of the Swivo era Wing screws. I am particularly interested in knowing (and locating) the...

My eyes are playing tricks on me.....How does this drum tension?

Re: Heads which are a bit bigger than Remo Classic Fit

Tag!
I have never heard of that model of drum before. Could you share a picture? I assume that the snare diameter is in cm and not inches, hence your problem. I know that Aquarian and Remo both make...
