Re: Looking for 6 SMALL Ludwig Classic lugs and...

I'm actually doing the same thing right now! Mine is 10"x16". I decided to convert mine over to large classic lugs though to look more in line with my floor tom. I'd love to trade a few mini classic...

On WFL and early Ludwig drums they wrote the diameter of the shell on the interior.

If I could get a 4" x 4" piece, that would be ideal.

WTB: Ludwig Gold Sparkle Wrap Scraps

I recently bought an early 60s Ludwig gold sparkle kit with a few extra holes I would like to patch. Unfortunately, all the modern gold sparkle wrap is too orange in tone. If anybody has a few small...

Re: Fibes Austin 5 piece coming soon

Looking forward to seeing some pictures. I'm not in a position to buy, but I've always had a soft spot for Fibes drums.

Re: I picked this up today

I actually bought this drum a while back for a project that never went through and sold it. The guy who bought it cut it down into two snares (which killed me inside).

Re: Paiste Ludwig Swiss 3-star cymbals

I've got a handful of 3 star cymbals and I love them. I believe all of mine are NS12.

Re: Price check 1966 ludwig black oyster snare

It still astounds me the kind of money BOP oyster drums bring. Congrats to whoever has owned a set for a while. Quite the ROI.

Re: Help identifying and appraising Rogers Dynasonic 12x14.5"

It looks to be missing quite a few parts. I just sold a complete 12"x15" dynasonic marcher for $300, if that helps.

Re: A rookie question about tuning my Ludwig’s.

I would start by tuning the reso heads about a 3rd higher than the batter heads. If you want long sustain tune the reso and batter head to the same pitch. That's always worked for me at least. There...

Re: Thoughts on Gretsch 'rock and roll' round badge kit

Seems a little high to me, but I'm not really a Gretsch guy.

Re: Is this really a 73 Ludwig Acrolite?

No pictures on your post, but 70s acrolites had a gray paint on them.

Re: 1960's Ludwig drum set - need help identifying and pricing.

Condition will be king when determining a good selling price. I would keep at least the three pre-serial number drums together. Do you have any pictures of the full kit? It would help if we could see...

Re: Ludwig Super Sensitive

The super sensitive model has a set of snares that go under the batter and resonant head. The extra lever to the right of the throw controls the auxiliary snares. The Super Ludwig only had what we...

Re: Ludwig Super Sensitive

Absolutely gorgeous snare drum. I'm actually in the talks with another forum member to pick up a Super Ludwig. I've never owned one of these 20s drums and have always wanted to. Congrats on the find....

Re: 1920’s Super Ludwig 10 lug snare

Such a beautiful drum. Maybe I'll be able to sell of a few things and cobble together the funds. I've been looking for a 2 piece Ludwig for a while now.

Re: Gretsch Round Badge Aqua Satin Flame 14 inch floor

His prices are truly insane. I understand a notable markup for gear that's in excellent condition, but his prices are about double of what they should be.

Re: Remo PTS 5 Piece Drum Set - $250

All of the most recent footage I've seen on YouTube is Jeff still playing on a Gold Crown bop kit. It might just be his playing, but I think those gold crown kits sound amazing... at least his does.

Re: Ludwig Duco

Was the paint on the 13 and 22 stripped or were they originally natural interior?

Re: 14x14 Ludwig Super Classic early 60's floor tom???

I've never seen one, but it doesn't seem like Ludwig wouldn't have done something like that. What exact year are the drums from? Do they have date stamps?

On a side note, that is one gorgeous kit....

Re: The Price is Right?

That's a great price. If I was in the area I might have already bought it by now. Is that bass drum 14" or 12" deep?
