Re: Removing "R-360" Label

I just looked at mine. Seems as if youd have to tap out the little tacks that hold the badge in place. Mine barely protrude the inner shell, so you'd have to do this vey gently. From a distance, I...

Re: Uppercase vs. Lowecase Amir cymbals

Yeah, my high school got a 20" Edge Ride right when they came out; had to be 1995-'97. I remeber the purple ink and having a nice bell, sounding like a Ping or thinner Z series cymbal.

Re: Uppercase vs. Lowecase Amir cymbals

Re: Yamaha flying dragon pedal

I had one briefly. Really smooth pedal, but I recall it not clamping on the hoop reliably so I traded it off. I can't really pinpoint the cause of issue.

Re: Rogers R-380s my uncle used to play in the 70s

Birch shells made in Japan by Yamaha. Good sounding drums. The snare is an American made Rogers. Clean em up, look for any missing parts and enjoy! I have a R-360 thats see a good amount of use.

Re: Practice Time

Been doing a little "outside the box" kinda stuff. Learning some 3-2 African clave rhythms for drum set via Billy Martin's "Riddim." Look it up on the web as I believe there may be excerpts around....

Re: Info on Rogers Kit for Sale

Drums with those Fullerton tags should date 1969- mid 1972. Some had 5 ply, some had 3 ply maple shells. The Swivo mounting hardware in that era was changed to cast metal and prone to cracking thus...

Re: Slingerland 80N Black Sabbath Tribute Kit

If you ever saw Bill Ward's kit on the Paris 1970 show, he used a Ludwig Standard snare! Search YouTube, it's fairly common.

I just saw a drummer play a '61 Ludwig with Coated Diplomat batters with clear Pinstripe resos. I thought the combo was weird at first glance, but they sounded really nice; very punchy, but with a...

I am working out a deal on a few orphan drums a cousin of mine has: a pre serial WMP Ludwig 20" kick and a tacked head tom. Would it have been possible that the tom originally came with the kick, or...
