Re: Sonor Teardrop

With a matching snare of Teardrop quality, could hit $900 to 11 hundred. I look at it that three shells is all you get then go into spending for a complete.

Re: Sonor Teardrop

For me, the rarity and a lot of the value in them is a matching snare, without that $100 a drum 3 ply, no more than $150 for 6 ply.

Re: Sonor Teardrop

Yup. I see the mount and the long neck lugs (64/65) so good chance six ply. However there are many cases of people getting six ply kits with a three ply bass and second hand buyers calling it a...

Re: Sonor Phonic D506 throw-off side butt plate

That's 506 depth, the tolerance was 1/4 + or -. I never saw a 505 at + 6". They are not Steel. They are Ferro-manganese steel. All that means is there is not enough Manganese to make it Stainless...

Re: Original 60's Paiste Giant Beat wax coating?

Brasso can ruin a cymbal if you don't know what you are doing. Staining in the fine lathe work is too hard to clean out.

Re: Sonor Snare - Do they hold there value?

SONOR drums are top crop. Only issues will be the one's you make. The metal Ferro-manganese snares of the past are in demand now.

Re: Sonor Phonic D506 throw-off side butt plate

First, you bought a heck of a snare drum. Second, that pinch plate could be in a music store junk draw, it's not an uncommon piece and lost a lot. That throw is on at least ten different SONOR...
