Re: Ludwig or Rogers.

Thanks so much for all your opinions. All the snare drums I currently own are wood shell, Ludwigs, wfl and Radio Kings.
I've just bought a new black beauty, and am considering a Rogers wood...

Re: Ludwig or Rogers.

Thanks guys. I do love the look of the Dynasonic, but I totally agree that the black beauty is a far more versatile drum.

Hi,
I'm looking to add another great snare drum to my collection, a drum that I will play regularly, and hopefully become an investment. The drums I'm thinking about are an 80's/90's ludwig black...

Re: Wmp wrap

I know, and I can't understand that after all this time, there's still no one making it!
The same goes for the beautiful style sbp and wmp that Ludwig was using throughout the 60's and early 70's.

Cymbal stand

Can anyone help please? I'm looking for a floor standing cymbal stand to go with my 30's and 40's Radio King sets. I believe they were made by Walberg and Auge. I'd appreciate any responses. Thanks.

Re: When di Ludwig change their WMP pattern in the 70s?

I've looked on the net, and apparently ludwig changed their wmp to the linear style with a diamond cut affect around 1975.

Re: When di Ludwig change their WMP pattern in the 70s?

I was always lead to believe that ludwig changed their beautiful ' 60's ' style wmp pattern to the more diamond pattern (which I hate) around 1972/73.

Re: When did Slingerland top of the line kits stop being called "Radio Kings?"

I would say by looking at the bdp set, that it is the 'Gene Krupa Deluxe' set. If the snare drum has a clamshell strainer, then it will be a Radio King snare drum. Not all Radio King snare drums had...

Re: Anatomy of Drum Wrap

I've always owned and played vintage Ludwig and Slingerland drums, always in wmp. I'd like to know why the 60's style Ludwig wmp has never been reproduced? I would have thought that it would be the...

Re: Tom Mintz, AKA VaDrum, 2MANYDRUMS/ Hes at it again guys

Re: 13" radio king shell

I have one in wmp. Shell is excellent, but a few marks on the pearl. No extra holes.
Only thing is, I'm in the UK, but will ship if you want it.

Hi,
This is what I do on yellowed wmp:

Use 800 grit wet 'n' dry paper with soapy liquid and warm water.
Rub with even pressure. You will need to rub one area at a time for 10 minutes or so, then...
