Also note the size and gauge of the throw compared to Ludwig Supra. Similar looking only, Not even in the same league.

There's nothing like Phonics. That 506 will hold it's ground with anything. When you get it fine tuned (heads, tension) you'll love it.

It resembles pitting, They probably realized that they wont't be getting rid of them and sold it for that reason.

Pitting starts under the Chrome and pushes it off. Not sure about wraps though....

Do you know what caused them ? DISTILLED white vinegar added to DISTILLED water does well cleaning Chrome. (third vinegar). Especially if it was from salts.

From what I see the tom is not family. It's the same color but a different lot #. Same with it's badge. I'm not even a Ludwig guy and I can tell you they are all Ludwig but one has a different mom....
