Re: Slingerland COW snare

Here's a good picture of the gum rubber washer. I just received this snare drum yesterday and will be doing a complete cleaning and detail soon. What's amazing is that the rubber washer appears brand...

Re: Rogers Mardi Gras Socks!

Hi V!

Definitely a "must buy"!

Here's my custom snare drum, wrapped in Mardi Gras Pearl from Precision Drum. I had them wrap the shell, but not drill it, as I wanted the fun of doing it myself!...

Re: Repro Radio King 3 Point Strainer??

Like thin shell says, this is the closest you're going to find in a repro. I'm wondering if the top/bottom spacing had anything to do with legal issues, otherwise, why not make it the same spacing?

Re: Rogers / Slingerland replacement & repair parts

Hi Josh!

I've never been a fan of using Facebook and, as such, prefer not to use it. While I do have a Facebook account, I deactivated it many years ago. Steve is simply trying to offer his parts...

Hi Hoppy!

Yes, that's exactly what I was getting! The funny part is that, for years, I never used the "New Posts" link, but just clicked each topic. Now, I almost immediately go to New Posts!

Re: Ludwig 4 x 14 downbeat snare

Hi J.R.!

I hope you do come up with a way to use your Downbeat shell. I do caution against those single-point lugs, though. I have a Tama snare drum with 11 lugs on top and 10 on the bottom. It...

Re: Ludwig 4 x 14 downbeat snare

They certainly are! They don't come up for sale very often. Those that I've seen on eBay sell quickly and for whatever price the seller is asking!

Brian!

When I read issues like this, sometimes it becomes personal to see if I can help. I find it very easy to do an internet search to see if I can track down what others may not be able to...

Re: !5 Inch Die Cast Rims?

Hi Brian!

I just did an internet search and all I could find were new Ludwig 2.3mm 15" 12-lug hoops. I honestly don't know if these exist in a die-cast hoop! Also, I have a feeling that the Ludwig...

+1 with what Mike said. As a seller on CL, when a buyer tells me they are on the way, I tell those that call later that a sale is pending and if the sale doesn't go through, I'll call them back. To...

Re: Dewey Snare Drum Question

Your drum appears to be just another MIJ or MIT stencil drum. Where on the drum does it say "Dewey"? The tone control looks like what Tama was using. Not a lot of value in this drum, but if it sounds...

Re: Ludwig Question What To Do?

I agree with O-Lugs on this. You should be able to tell if Citrus Mod is underneath by just removing some heads and looking down on the bearing edge. Should be able to see the wrap. Let us know!
