Re: Stamp ID if possible

Appears to be a 60's stamp Kevin. You can measure the height of the stamp. To be a 3 dot Large Stamp from the mid 50's it would need to be 1-7/8" or so. 1.25"-1.50" range would be 60's.

Re: Removing paint without damaging wrap?

Re: Your best NOS find

Off the top of my head, mine would be a NOS Ludwig Speedmaster bass pedal.

Re: '66 Ludwig Club Date Bop Kit Value?

Would be a game changer if an 18. I sold my Ludwig Black Lacquer 20/12/14 with matching snare for $1200 IIRC. The kit in question looks super nice from what I can see.
I'd figure hardware for $150...

Re: Ordered "No Brand" hi-hats for $33?

Maybe an Avedis on the left and something Italian on the right? Just my first thought on seeing the pic. Fingers crossed for something that sounds good.

Re: Vintage Ludwig Jazz Festival or Super Classic?

Sounds like you have a Super Classic model, being a 5x14 with the classic strainer (the large strainer in which the wires attach like you mentioned). The Jazz Festival didn't technically come out...

Re: Zildjian without stamp

Hollow ink era. Many of those have that exact type font on the top ink stamp. The hollow ink models are from approximately '76 to '83. Some of these stamps actually had 60's stamps on them and some...

Re: Old style Ludwig internal dampener vs. baseball bat type

You can use the round knob mufflers in place of the baseball bat muffler. You will need a flat washer between the shell and the muffler on both sides since the bat muffler has a larger top hole.

Re: Ok, here's another "funny" Jazzette (not)

With the rewrap situation in place, hard to say what it is. But.....even though the 12x18 Jazzette bass drum is first listed in the '67 catalog, the '63 Supplement catalog introduced the 12x18 Gold...

Re: Ok, here's another "funny" Jazzette (not)

I've got a '61 Galaxy bass drum and a '64 Sky Blue Pearl bass drum that are both original and have those old WFL style spurs. But....both are 22" Club Date bass drums. Don't recall those spurs on any...

Re: Ludwig trans. badge COB seam and grommet questions

Re: 22" 50,s hollow logo Zildjy

That 22" trans with that stamp and that weight is something special/desirable in my opinion. I think the price is very justified.
