Thanks for the suggestions. It looks like a replacement part it will be. While I appreciate the natural aging charm, patina, etc., that type of thing would probably drive me nuts in short order.

1968 Ludwig Hollywood Set

This set of Ludwigs is date stamped Jan 1968, and I've owned them since 1970. All original except Zildjian ride and crash.
