Hey thanks Kenwood. I will only receive the drum in a couple of weeks' time. I am quite excited to hear how it sounds, especially since it appears to have quite a thin shell, judging by the re-rings....

Jump For Joy Indeed!! I re-measured mine and it is also 21 1/8". I re-weighed it and it weighs in at 2960g. I think that they are indeed clones Cool1

Hi Zen - I just remeasured the bell on my 21" A and it is in fact a 5.5 inch bell. It definitely stands quite high - it is quite noticeable.

It took me about an hour to get the 12 shell to look like this - not perfect yet but with some Novus, it will shine - Im sure.

I tried lacquer based thinners this morning and it works like a charm in removing the spray paint. It does not seem to do any damage to the the wrap either!

Hi - I just picked this 1971 Ludwig kit up and the problem is obvious - the color underneath the spray paint is Marine White Pearl. If possible, how do I go about removing the paint from the wrap?...
