Re: Ludwig Gold Painted Hoops?

I can't say for sure on the hoops. I've seen some painted hoops that matched the color of the drum before that were factory original. Some of the early WFL badges used a larger, thicker grommet that...

Nope, pass on it based on what you mentioned. You can find what you want and it will retain value. Good luck.

Re: Solution for chrome parts

I use Dawn dishwashing liquid mixed with water. Usually let it soak over night. The results are amazing.

Re: Price of Vintage Drums depressed

When I was young, Dad always drove Corvettes....drag raced them too. Back in the 70's he bought a '66 with the 427,4 speed and factory side pipes. Think he gave 4k for it. Someone had waxed it and...

I didn't comment on this John. I think that was Wayne. Thank you for the good thoughts and wishes though. And certainly the same to you.

Wayne I think that John found these all together from the...

Re: Late 70's Lacquer over Brass Supraphonic

I checked my '77ish 5x14 Black Beauty tonight like we discussed. No stamp on mine at the muffler either. Same shell as yours just added black nickel. Love yours!

Re: Zildjian A "Hollow Block Stamp" (50s) 22"

Hollow Block 22's are my favorites. This one sounds just right. I've got some thin ones but my fave is around 2800 grams. It's a gem as is this 2198g version.

Re: 60's Ludwig Goldtone Cowbells made by Paiste?

I do know that some of the 50's models were made by Paiste. I have one that has Ludwig and the 3 stars on it just like the NS12 cymbals from the late 50's that were stamped Ludwig and Paiste. I am...

Re: Decent Deal on a Champagne Sparkle Club Date....Ebay

The Blue Olive era Club Date floor toms did still have the push button mounts/straight legs. They may have a Ludwig block logo as opposed to the earlier style. 1216 mounts do not line up with Club...

Re: "SUPER" Switzerland 20" ride cymbal any info.

These were made by Paiste. The first Paiste Supers were made in Germany. The Switzerland models were made from the early 60's to the early 70's.

Re: Straight floor tom legs

You could actually go to Ace Hardware and buy some straight rod. I think they aluminum and steel. Pretty easy to cut to length. Can be polished to look nice. I think most of the ones that I have done...
