Re: Monitors for Singing Drummers

I used an audio technicia setup that was about $1200 at the time for one transmitter and two receivers / body packs.

Re: 1960's Ludwig drum set - need help identifying and pricing.

Agree with the above post:

1. Take a picture of the drums as a "set" sounds like the 13,16, bass drum (having size greatly helps) and snare drum could come together as a set.

2. Potential...

Re: Thoughts on Gretsch 'rock and roll' round badge kit

For some reason the rock and roll configuration never commands a lot of money. That being said I think they are great setups.

Re: Rogers Cleveland 12 14 20

Holy cow that is an amazing drum! I always try to find a matching snare. For the record if anyone has an LA Camco moss green or even natural maple snare let me know. I have been on the hunt for years.

Re: Rogers Cleveland 12 14 20

I think Holiday tags and 64 sounds right.

Re: Rogers Cleveland 12 14 20

When I saw the sizes I could not pass them up. I recently traded my Rogers 12 14 18 to Steve Maxwell so this kit fills that void.

Re: Rogers Cleveland 12 14 20

Rogers was well ahead of their time to be honest. Between their bearing edges and hardware they rival most modern drums imho.

Re: Ludwig Jazzette project

Now with bass drum logo! For some reason this small detail always drives me crazy. The only suitable alternative for me is a custom drum-head with cool artwork.

Re: Are early 70's Downbeat kits rare?

I have seen them in sparkle, BDP, wmp, and thermogloss over the years. For some reason they don't command the same value as their Keystone relatives for whatever reason.

From interviews I recall...

Re: Rogers Cleveland 12 14 20

A couple more pictures. Hate to admit that these pinstripes sound good on this kit.

Rogers Cleveland 12 14 20

Found this kit when on a business trip to MCAS Cherry Point.
No extra holes, no mods, factory edges, all paper tags, and fairly clean.

Re: Camco Oaklawn 12 14 18 with snare

Thanks! My green LA Camco kit has lasted the test of time so far. Might end up being the longest kit I have held onto.

Re: Gretsch Round Badge Aqua Satin Flame 14 inch floor

Buy the faded one and wait till a nice one comes along! You would be surprised how well those finishes can clean up with some scrubbing bubbles. I had a Camco set (you can search on here) in the same...

Camco Oaklawn 12 14 18 with snare

Just picked this kit up from Steve Maxwell. This kit was used at the Eddie Knight (Camco endorser) school for drums. Still has the stamps from his school!

Had to take a picture next to my LA kit.

Re: Ludwig Jazzette project

After baby #3 my wife said no more jumping. Honestly it's dangerous and a lot more to risk now vs when I was younger. I have got to do other fun things like US Navy Test Pilot School (short course)...

Ludwig Jazzette project

Nearly a year ago I collected a misfit group of orphan shells; 1960's 12x8 tom, 14x14 floor tom, and a 1970 12x18 bass drum. I was not overly rushed to do anything with this rag tag group because I...

Re: Rogers kit barn find ANY/ALL info appreciated!

Looks to be a Fullerton era kit in KOA. The bass drum hoops don't look original. Is there a floor tom also? Nice find!
