Thanks for all the info. I'm pleasantly surprised how reasonable the cost is.

Regarding getting it to curve: I wonder if you could make the steel curve using a rolling pin and some gentle...

Where did you get the steel? I've been checking vendors and all they have is various types of chrome plastic.

Thanks. Fascinating choice of finishes. Site says the metal finishes are real metal covered with a layer of Lexan polycarbonate.

The sheets are 3x3', but they offer a roll of material 10" high...

Thanks for posting that link. Interesting merchant! I couldn't tell if they had mirror-finish sheets, so I sent them an inquiry about it.

Great score. They're great drums and you got great sizes.

As a long-time Fibes user, here's my two cents. Part of the Fibes look is the particular wraps they used. You can get real metal...

The chrome wrap sold these days would not make it original. Older chrome wrap was metal. Current chrome wrap is plastic. Anyone buying the set - or even looking at it - would be sorely disappointed...
