Working on restoring ‘68 vintage Ludwig mod orange kit. Had to pull the original resocoat since prior owner had a heavy black paint over it. Trying to bring it back. Does anyone know how to do this...

Sorry my mistake, not completely matching numbers.... 458237 ST, 457361 MT, 458128 FT, 457355 Bass. Looks like residue indicates white resocoat.

Does anyone know a current reaplacement coating?

Unfortunately I had already used the tough stuff and pull the white coating off the toms. I may be able to keep on the bass drums, but will likely look to recoat.

I was able to pull the old tape off (after 1.5 hours). However, the peanut butter worked great at getting the old residue adhesive off.

I'm an idiot and wrapped my Mod Orange covers with real masking tape during a restoration project. While I should of used the "blue stuff" for easy removal I did not. Lame
