Re: Old K with no stamp?

That was the first thing that crossed my mind, but looking at the cymbal I can see that the overall shape seems fine. The profile looks normal and you can see how the lathing tapers off at the edge...

Re: Old K with no stamp?

Thanks. I don't know what it is either.
It sounds great! I'm thinking maybe something that was offered with Premier drums way back in the day. I've had a few Zanchi F&F cymbals that had a similar...

Re: Ringo's Hello, Goodbye mini Kit

A couple more photos. I think these ones show the WMP finish a bit better.

Re: Little Blue Onyx Star

OK, so I have never seen this finish. When I said I had a blue one, I meant I had a blue marine pearl or whatever you want to call that. I've never seen this blue onyx type. That's really something...

Re: Ringo's Hello, Goodbye mini Kit

I'm glad some people found this interesting.
I've owned the full set in the past, but I sold it. I tried to buy it back, but the owner wasn't willing to part with it.
I was glad that I was able...

Ringo's Hello, Goodbye mini Kit

So, I managed to get this little MIJ 16" Bass drum in WMP.
It's the same type Ringo used in the Hello, Goodbye video.
It's a single tension drum. The hoops are wood.
Here's a couple of photos. ...

Old K with no stamp?

Hi, I was wondering if there are any known examples of old K Zildjian Istanbul cymbal out there that have no trademark stamps?
I recently got hold of a 13" cymbal that has no stamps whatsoever. It...

Re: UK 70's Aluminium Snare

Also, the reso head that was on it is actually a coated batter head. It's called a "head-master". Never seen one of those heads until I got this drum.

UK 70's Aluminium Snare

Hi all. This drum was on eBay. I got it for a decent price. It's in excellent condition, but has a design flaw. The drum is exactly 14" in diameter, but the resonance side is a bit larger than 14". I...

Re: For Sale - English made Rogers Dyna-sonic COB

Beaver tail lugs, not too sure about the rail, looks like modern repro, but I'm no expert. Badge appears glued on, US badge, not the one with the underscore.
Stand by for photos.

Re: For Sale - English made Rogers Dyna-sonic COB

£400, That's a little bit more than €400. Good to know. Thanks for the info, Sean. I'm going to throw some photos up later

Yep, located in Europe. I thought that would have been implicit seeing that the currency is Euro. :p

Re: 1939 CARLTON 6.5 x 14 BLUE RHAPSODY THE “PRINCE” MODEL

Mike, that is cool! The British stuff is very interesting. I just got an English Rogers Dynasonic the other day. Carlton are very Leedy-esque. They're well made drums. I bet these cost a fortune back...

Re: Is this normal for a Dynasonic?

I can't comment on the US 7 liners as I've never owned one, but I heard they had a thinner shell than the later 5 liner. When I knew I was buying a 7 liner I was expecting a thinner shell. Not the...

Re: Is this normal for a Dynasonic?

It really does sound different to the Dynasonics I've owned in the past. It's just so nice to play and the wires dial in nicely. I'm not hearing any buzzing or rattling and the reso side is in no way...
