DB! Pretty darn cool! I've got a 60's MIJ "no name" snare drum with the same finish. I just don't need any more drums!!

Re: Rare Japanese vintage drums I can't find any info on- anyone??

+1!! I'd jump on that for $25! A very unusual color. Also, the lugs and hoops suggest Hoshino, but I can't say 100 percent.

As to the "Gusto" name, probably just another name chosen by the...

Re: North East Legion Slingerland Snare

We've got lots of members with lots of information! I learn something new every day!

I've seen sets and snare drums in Capri Pearl, but never a marching drum. Very cool!

Re: the Speedking is back

I think this is excellent news...providing that improvements are made. While I was never a fan of the 201 Speed King, I have owned quite a few of them! The best one I had was done by Jessie of...

Re: WTB: Slingerland Bass Drum Spurs

Hi Artie!

slingerfan is correct about the length. My 1970 Modern Solo kit is currently set up in my drum room, so I just removed one spur and measured it. Mine shows 11.25" from end to end. And,...

Re: North East Legion Slingerland Snare

Hi allandwf!

First, probably a typo and should have read "North East....". I have a feeling that this was simply the organization the drum belonged to. I did a Google search and nothing comes up...

Re: FOR SALE: Vintage Rogers Red Onyx Powertone Drum Kit (Dayton Circa 1968/1969)

Hi Nitebeat!

A really beautiful kit! Even though you show the price on Reverb, forum rules state that you must provide a price here as well. Best of luck with your sale!

Re: Gretsch guys-need help: measuring diameter correctly

Hi Dean!

These are the rubber crutch tips I use for 3/8" tom legs. They also work for Ludwig and Slingerland spurs, too! ...

Re: Your best NOS find

Here's the NOS Ludwig 1286 beater I had years ago. I never used it and eventually sold it. It still had the original price tag! The shaft also had the milled flat spot.

Re: Your best NOS find

Hi Mike!

Now, that's cool! You also reminded me that I did purchase a NOS Ludwig beater, still wrapped up. I'm not home right now, but will upload the picture when I return home later today....

Re: Your best NOS find

All my NOS finds were Slingerland hardware. I was in a training class back in a small suburb of Boston in the 90's. I found a small music store in a rural area and decided to check it out. Sitting in...

Re: slingerland throw off

Hi surfdrummer! I've heard from quite a few people that this aftermarket "3-point strainer" fits only the upper two holes, but not the bottom. I don't know why they just didn't make it a perfect...

Yep, you did great! Another cheap score for you! I love the thinner "slosshy" sound of these hats. And, really digging your playing and drum room!

Re: Help with high quality picture of Tempro Bass drum head logo

I completely agree that there are times when the fun in doing this outweighs the fact that you can get the decal for only $6!

A case in point is that I just completely refurbed a Lasko 20" box fan...

Yes, he does use great vintage kits to display his logos. Take a look "see other items" for some really nice kits displaying the logo.

Re: What are the rarest Slingerland wraps/finishes from th 60's-70's?
