Re: CitriStrip fail-learn from Dean

Not sure citristrip is good for paint removal. I used it to remove glue residue on a shell and it worked great. Grafitti remover might have worked better. Maybe even paint stripper. There are many...

Re: Latest Score: Stewarts In Orange/Gold

Re: Slingerland acquisition!

You can get a aluminum rod really cheap from Lowe's that you can cut to size that will work for Spurs for now. You can sharpen the ends or put rubber tips on them. I use them on a couple of my bass...

Re: Ludwig snare basket to match this stand

My basket would fit the tubular Atlas base. Your base I believe takes the type basket that also worked with the flat base stand. Like the 1400 cymbal stands.

Re: Ludwig hoop repair SOS

Elmers pro wood glue. I repeated two Slingerland hoops that had separated . Glued them, clamped them together, and let sit a couple days. Strong as ever. You can use Saran Wrap if needed under your...

Re: Ludwig snare basket to match this stand

I think I have it. Would it have the black plastic T handle tilt screw, or is it the flat tri arm like the stands that came with the Acrolite.

Re: Let's see your drum room!!

Not really my drum room, more like my drum storage room. That's half of it. My iPad only lets me upload one pic at a time.

Ludwig Downbeat 1965

A fellow drummer friend of almost 40 years is considering selling his Downbeat set. I am also thinking of buying it. He is the original owner. Also has the 4"x14" snare that came with the set. What...

Re: Ideas for rubber mounting gaskets?

For lugs I once used the rubber from a bicycle tire tube. Laid the lug on the rubber and cut with a exacto knife.

Re: Gold Sparkle Pioneer

Thanks Mike. This is the snare I was asking you about. I have tuned it up and played it some and it is going to be fine to use as a jazz snare.
