Re: Price shaming

I think it's just a general corsening of society.

Everywhere you turn people are arguing about something. Decorum is thing of the past. Have you tried talking politics lately? Have you turned on...

Re: Flat or Angled?

Thanks for the opinions guy's.

I do like the look of the low, flat cymbals I see guys playing on their kits, but I find it difficult to play them. If I just crashed them, I could probably live...

Flat or Angled?

I notice a lot of the drummers on the scene these days play with their cymbals straight, with no angle, and really low as well, while BITD, they almost all played with their cymbals on an angle and...

Re: 60s Premier and Ajax Nu Sound Sets

My only kit is an MIJ as well, and I would also have to sell mine to make room for something "better". Being around this forum is problematic, because it's easy to get caught up in wanting something...

Thanks for chiming in Marc!

Wow, just when we thought we had this figured out, you came up with this information. Somewhere on the forum, I believe this Yamamoto was mentioned as a possible...

Re: 60s Premier and Ajax Nu Sound Sets

I'm a sucker for red sparkle kits, and that kit looks immaculate. The price isn't crazy either, and the seller is open to offers, but the shipping is to high, at least for me.

Re: Evans 360 uv1

I've been hearing really good things about these drum heads, especially on YouTube. But I gather they sound like G1s, except they have a better coating.

Forum member, DrumBob, is big on these drum...

Re: 60s Premier and Ajax Nu Sound Sets

Oooof! I'd regret that myself. What a beautiful kit, and the sizes are spot on as well. I love the 2 floor tom set-up.

Great price to, especially considering the big sizes and condition, but the...

Re: Three Sides of Ludwig

Checking that pesky inflation calculator, that $100 was almost $500 in 75. Crazy, huh? Still a good deal, but I think the surfer wound up with a pretty decent board as well!:p

Re: Oh No...Trixon Is Back From The Dead

I can't imagine that you could make any drums in Wisconsin, or anywhere in the USA, for these prices. There cheaper, by quite a bit actually, than the entry level Ludwig Breakbeats and other name...

Re: Oh No...Trixon Is Back From The Dead

According to this guy, this kit is a limited edition and limited run, so this doesn't look like a long term endeavor by Vox, or whoever is selling this.

Re: Oh No...Trixon Is Back From The Dead

Have you read the descriptions of those drums?

You would think they were $2000 kits! Propriety this, propriety that, low mass, centrifugal something or other, Multi Point cylinder lug technology,...

Re: Oh No...Trixon Is Back From The Dead

Ok, they have my interest. I dig it. I love the bass drum and the angled BD mounted cymbal arm. Looks very cool to my eye. Not sure about the wrap though. What the heck is that? I'd have to see that...

Re: Oh No...Trixon Is Back From The Dead

Ok, so now I'm really confused.

It seems that Trixon drums already have a full line of cheap drums, Chinese made I have to think, so what do you mean that Trixon is returning? Look like they...

Re: Oh No...Trixon Is Back From The Dead

They are odd for sure, but in a good way. I like them. The bass drum is obviously cool as heck and the set up of the toms is as well, however, they look hard to play laying so flat like that.

Hey,...

Well, I'm good with it.

Reproduce them all. Some guys want new drums, and they don't care about anything vintage and the problems that can come with them. Especially a brand like Trixon drums,...

Re: Oh No...Trixon Is Back From The Dead

Yeah, that's about $2300 American. Pretty steep for sure, but not completely out of line compared to some of the other boutique makers out there.

I don't know, so I'll ask, do they sound like...

Re: Oh No...Trixon Is Back From The Dead

I'm kind of curious about how they'll be priced. These were pretty expensive BITD, so I imagine they will be again.

What do you guys think?
