Re: I Have Never "Gotten" Gretsch Drums

This. I was gonna say something like it. Never had them but know someone that did. They go dead quick and give you that short note sound. I like that in a snare but was equally surprised by the whole...

Re: DW Buys Slingerland Name

The drums do sound good for sure. A little high on the snare tune for me but I can tell I would like it. I would have liked to have heard some rim riff's though. Cymbals sound like sh*t. But that's...

Re: DW Buys Slingerland Name

Re: Removing Black Spots!

It resembles pitting, They probably realized that they wont't be getting rid of them and sold it for that reason.

Re: Removing Black Spots!

Do you know what caused them ? DISTILLED white vinegar added to DISTILLED water does well cleaning Chrome. (third vinegar). Especially if it was from salts.

Re: DW Buys Slingerland Name

It's also worthy of a bit of constructive criticism too. DW aint all that.

Re: 60's Ludwig Kits - sequential serial numbers?

You also want to look for "the Ludwig hump" this was caused by using a scarf joint to join the ends. With Ludwig the wrap went into the scarf joint too. It's easy to refill a badge bin when it gets...

Re: Zildjian Clone? Zildjian K? What is this?

Yea, I bombed out on that one. It fooled me because it is a good fake. I know better than to counterpoint you and Drumaholic, but it was fun to do. Even though I sank like a rock.
