Re: Where can I find another lug like this?

Actually, Rogers Beavertail snare lugs are 1-15/16" center-to-center. Also, my guess for the spacing of the OP's drum is at least 2", possibly more.

Re: Wanted Sky Blue Marine Pearl wrap

The post by VDF member Charley Braun was over 6 years ago. Since he only had a total of 5 posts, I would think that he's no longer on the forum and has moved on!

That being said, I believe this...

Re: Beware....Jim Petty's Email Has Been Hacked

I received the same email a few days ago! The English seemed a bit odd to me, so rather than replying, I gave Jim a call. He confirmed that his email had been hacked and was happy to hear that I did...

Re: RepRo Red Ripple wRap?

I also used Bum Wrap for my 1994 Slingerland HSS drum set. It's pictured here in a "Spirit of America" motif. The wrap is called "George".

I've never had any issues with Bum Wrap Drum Co and can...

Re: Identification of snare with ludwig parts

sullington...

I seriously doubt the shells would be African mahogany. Most likely lauan. The other term for this is Phillipine Mahogany. Not the best wood for shells. Still, the 6-ply shells...

Hi Rick! Yes, we need to see pictures. Concerning the badges, are they Black/Brass or Black/Silver?

Re: Identification of snare with ludwig parts

Looking at this again, I'm also seeing the same thing. I've just never seen MIJ or MIT lugs that resembled the Standard/Rocker lugs before! See something new every day!

Re: Identification of snare with ludwig parts

Hi sullington!

The shell appears to be 6-ply mahogany, possibly an MIJ. I have a few MIJ snare drums with the same type of shell and gray interior. The lugs are Ludwig Standard. From the one...

Re: MIJ "Frankenclubdate" Bop Kit

Completely forgot that my 1967 Slingerland kit has the Maxwell rail with the long spade attachment. You can see that there is still extra length available to get the tom higher. However, my bass drum...

Re: MIJ "Frankenclubdate" Bop Kit

Hi V!

You did an excellent job with this kit! I really like the contrast of the clear maple bass drum hoops and the red sparkle inlays, instead of the typical black hoops. In regards to the...

Re: Rogers COB Powertone Snare

Yeah, sometimes you never know until you actually try out a snare drum. As to originality, the Clock-face strainer looks like the new reproduction version. Given the Dayton tag, it would have easily...

Re: Rogers advice needed please! 20" Fullerton*bass drum spur collet catching on plat

Delorso received my leg bracket and it fixed his issue. Yay!! I've resized the pictures he sent me and you can clearly see that the original bracket is bent. My bracket isn't cosmetically nice, but...

Re: A new one to me Walhe drums any info.

Well...they're poor pictures. But from what I can see, I'd guess MIT drums. The lugs almost look they they have a swivel attachment for the tension rod, but I can't be sure. Walhe is probably just...
