slingerland snare rim question

Hi, I have a 60's student model slingerland snare. Purchased it on ebay and was shown with a rapid strainer {didn't arrive with drum}, anyway, snare has sticksaver hoop on bottom but a regular hoop on top side, is this original? I'm looking for a rapid strainer if anyone has one laying around. Thanks, Rick
