This one is new to me and also a huge shock to me.

Firstly it has nothing to do with email.

This happened internally on the Ebay web site. I actually clicked on an auction image and it automatically took me to a log in page.

I did not think anything of it, because this will happen when you are trying to access certain things.

I logged in and then it took me to a confirm email page.

That was new to me and I looked at the URL which was off Ebay.

I hit the back button and noticed that sign up page was also off Ebay.

It happened so fast and I usually work fast on Ebay it almost got me.

I hit the live chat button and reported it and within 10 minutes the listing was gone.

Just to be safe I reset my password.

Keep an eye out, they can get you inside Ebay as well.

Thanks for that. Watch out to for emails to your account bearing all e-bay logos etc, which are queries from buyers and sellers etc about items you have not even been selling! They'll ask you to link to an EBay USA log -in, and that's where I assume they get your account details etc. I changed my password...beware!

If you go to "My eBay" and check under "My Messages" these will be the only legitimate messages from eBay. I've had some "phishing" problems lately on eBay and have found that using the my eBay page to verify is going to save you lots of trouble. Be safe...don't go too quick through eBay, take your time.
