The funny thing is that if you played that clip for someone and they didn't know, they would swear that those "Tama" drums sound great! lol! ;)Burger Kin

....wow...those TAMA sound great! How'd he do it?.....hehehehe

He has a set of ape hangers for cymbal stands for sure. My brother played that way for short time. Then he figured it was costing time better used for fills. Go figure.

It's also rough on the rotator cuff.

Wow! He must have EQ'd the heck out of those Tama's to get them to sound like that...

jonnistix - apehangers; I haven't heard that in a while! lol A fellow I knew tried to convince me that cymbals sound better if their high up like that. My response was only the B8 mixes sound good that far away. I don't think he got it...

DAMN they got those Tama's sounding sweet!!

But really, that kick sounds way better there than any of those Tama
recordings they did. Way more Thudwig on the low end! Yes Sir

Nice ludwigs!

Todd Trainer and Shellac on this site, I LOVE IT! I saw Shellac (with Mule opening up) '94-96 at the Old Miami in Detroit. The Old Miami is on death's door in Detroit and usually the music is awful. There were sooo many people at this show, my wife and I had to sit on a ledge on the side of the wall. I couldn't believe what I was hearing and seeing. I instantly purchased a Shellac record (no cd's folks). Todd was a delight that night, so was Steve Albini (the guitar player/vocalist, he's a big time producer Nirvana's In Utero, but, either you know that or you don't). Wow, now I'm all jacked up. Pretty cool themilford

All Stewart's tone comes from those sport socks pulled up to his eyeballs...
