Hi guys,
I bought some old drums parts the other day and was wondering if anyone could tell me who made these parts?
One is an old lug and claw with a drum key. The other is an old snare throw off.

Not sure...but if you can clean up that strainer...it's an old 3-point strainer...in good shape worth about $75-100....

I think I found were the strainer came from. It looks like the one on the 1950 Concert King..what ya think?

Howdy Prostix,
The tension rod and claws look like late 1800s to early 1900s to me - roughly 1880 - 1910. Not sure if there's any way to definitively identify the company. A lot of builders were using this kind of generic, bulky, single tension hardware at the time. I have a drum distributed by (but not necessarily built by) the Thompson & Odell company of Boston, MA which dates from sometime around there. Check it out here (http://leevinson.com/gear.html#metalodell). Your rods are similar but aren't a perfect match for what that's worth.

Someone around here will be able to identify the strainer for you. Probably a Leedy or Slingerland part but I'll leave it to those in the know.
