Mystery Base Drum Pedal

I got a double base pedal with a kit I picked up. The pedals have a DW 2000 lable on them but they looked familiar. So I pulled out a hi-Hat that I have and sure enough the plates are the same as the Pearl Hi-Hat. I bought the hi-hat new from Valley Arts Drums in Studio City around 1980.

Any thoughts?

Wow, that is interesting! Never seen that. I'd be interested to see the full double bass pedal; I have a very old DW 5000 pedal which I thought was their first offering.

DW offered an import line under their own name as a 2000 series back in the mid-late 80's. These pop up on ebay once in a while. The are a bit on the heavy and sluggish side for a BASS pedal, but seem to hold up over the years.
