Nice Video!!
Ever?? Perhaps.
What about the "Ed Sullivan kit" form 1963. After that event, poor old Bill Ludwig Sr. could not make enough drooms... :)

Hi,
In some of the still shots of that recording you can spot, under the towel, that his snare is one of his Jazz Fests in the Ringo wrap. Might be visible in these vids, just haven't checked.

I got the movie "HELP" from Netflix yesterday and my kids watched it last night... they laughed and laughed... total 60's... total silly.
Man they dragged those Luddy's all over place... sand, snow, dirt...

Actally he does still own it, along with all the other drums he made famous. I'm not even gonna begin to speculate how much they would command at auction.....I would think that they would be willed to his son before they would go up for auction though.
They belong in a museum after the man passes, not a private collection IMO. The world should get to see them, not a private drum collector.

If you are into the beatles, and gear in general get the book "Beatles Gear"
Has pictures and info on all of the instruments. Has detailed info about the drumheads, info on stores where they bought gear, the story behind ringo's first ludwig info on the hollywood.
I still re read it every once in a while, it's so amazing to see some of these photo's that you would otherwise never see

Yep, already got it....great book. Also I have an ORIGINAL copy of the Beatles book Get Back, from the Let it Be Sessions...long out of print and quite rare. Also a great book due to all of the photos of the band and their gear from the sessions..... :D
