I have a snare drum with a C.G. Conn metal label. It is 5"x16", and does not currently have any snares. It has two old drum heads, but one has a burn hole in it. It has 30 brass lugs and has a natural wood finish with wood hoops for the heads. I don't recognize the type of wood.

A check of the Conn website says that drums with serial numbers in this range were produced in the late 1800s.

Does anyone know of a site where I might find out more about this particular drum?

Thanks!!

Hmm.. What is the link to the Conn web site??

I would be interested in seeing that.

Exactly what information are you looking for?

Hi,
I'd also like to know the link to the website with info on Conn drums. I'm a trombone player with a small collection of Conn brasses. I recently acquired a Conn snare drum with leather heads, a wood shell, and chrome plated hoops. I can't find a serial number on it, or any info anywhere I've looked on the web. I'm attaching a picture. Hope it works. Any info at all would be most welcome.
Thanks,
