Hi

Can anyone tell me something about Riviera drums?

I found this one at ebay from a seller that I bought another snare from.

http://cgi.ebay.com/Vintage-Riviera-Snare-Drum-Wild-Blue-Haze-Wrap-1960s_W0QQitemZ7404930193QQcategoryZ38095QQssPageN ameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

Thought that I maybe could throw $20 after this snare, restore it, and sell it again!

Does it have any value? and who made the drum? can't find anyting on "Riviera" at google, so thought that the brand maybe was manufactured by some other company?

Thanks
Torben

Not worth much money. It is an import drum. Look at the wood grain
on the shell running up and down. This drum sure looks like a Japanese import from the 60's.

Note: Another forum member did suggest that there are cases when the vertical wood might be an English drum, but I have not seen any since the English drums are limited in this market.
