What would something like this go for all ludwig stands all zildjian cymbals 19",20", 22" with 15" new beats and a 10" splash. 12",13' toms, floor tom is 16", bass drum is 22"x14". Thanks, I was pretty pumped when I found them. I had to drive 3.5 hours to get them before someone else got to them.

I believe they would be late 60's to early 70's from looking at the stamps two appear to be thin stamps and two are heavier stamps Hi-hats are a heavier stamp as well with faded ink stating new beat

Looks like they're in great shape; Hollywood set, with a super sensitive! You don't see something complete with stands, etc. too often!

I Would Love To Discuss Money However I Did Put Them Up For Sale On The For Sale Forum I Am Still A Fairly New Member And I Do Not Want To Make Anyone Mad. So I Guess Stating What I Paid For Them Might Not Benefit Me What Do You Think They Should Sell For? I Really Got Lucky. Even The Drum Heads Are Original I Believe.

only if the price is right from everything people have chimed in on I am better off keeping them unless somebody was willing to pay what their truly worth being a complete set. meaning you will not have to track down any missing pieces with this kit. I have not even attempted shining this kit yet. I will not sell it in pieces just out of respect for the completeness of it.

Been out for a while, did you sell your kit, or decide to keep it. I hope you were able to hold on to it, because under the current economy I doubt you would get what you would deserve.
I will say that I haven't seen any Hollywoods, especially 70's go for over $2000 regardless of the condition. Actually now that I'm thinking about it, I don't recall seeing one go for that much. My observation is the superclassic setup is more desireable.
Certainly having the cymbals and cases make the whole kit complete, I'm just not sure how much if any extra anyone would be willing to pay. For me I know that I don't store any of my collection in cases.
The best of luck to you.Jump For Joy

Apparently, it sold for $2750.00 -which was right about what I thought it should sell for. Launchpad posted about the sale in the For Sale section. I responded to it. And then suddenly the post that I responded to was deleted. But I do remember that he said it went to a drummer who was a student of Joe Morello's or something like that.
You don't see white sparkle very often, either.......

That's because Ludwig didn't make "white sparkle"...that set is silver sparkle.
Only Slingerland had "sparkling white" and it didn't look like that; it was white with gold sparkles.
Then that's either the most faded silver I have ever seen, the pics are washed out, or I'm smokin' sumthin'.....

Nope. It's silver sparkle from 1970. Somehow, it turns milky white. It's very beautiful, that way, though!Burger Kin

I have a set of Ludwig silver sparkles that were built in 71. They have the clear maple insides. They are absolutely a white sparkle now. It's a serious fade. Personally, I don't like the fade. I am pulling the faded wrap and slipping on a gold sparkle wrap. I'm 'one of those' drummers that really couldn't care less about resale value. I want to play these things. I am very excited about the drop in this market. I'm shopping for some drums and am looking forward to putting my hands on a kit that has previously been on the stupid side of outrageous. It's a Rogers kit with that unbelievably cool swan leg hardware. So artistically sweet!
