Questions on Slingerland set

I'm new at this. I am trying to sell my dad's 1959-61 Marine Pearl Slingerland four piece set. I think the snare is a "Radio King strainer clam shell". Is the strainer the wires that run across the playing surface? Is the clam shell the lever that changes the tention on those wires? Why is it called a strainer and a clam shell? What about straight legs vs curved legs on the floor tom and base drum? And what about push button leg mounts vs thumb screw?
Any help with these questions would be greatly appreciated.

the strainer is the thing that changes the tension of the wires. the wires are called snares. clam shell is a specific design of strainer that slingerland came out with in the 40's, although officially they're called super strainers.

i can't conceive of any way to be more specific about what is meant by straight legs versus curved legs. are the metal things holding the floor tom off the ground and the bass drum stable straight or curved? it's as simple as that.

the leg mounts are the things that attach the legs to the drum. the legs are adjusteable and removeable. to adjust or remove them, do you turn a thumb screw or push a button?
