Ploughman!...

I seem to recall you chasing this drum for quite a while... well, maybe not this EXACT drum, but a Wine Red Ripple Powertone so that you could complete your set... so ... VERY NICE and congrats!! Amazingly, despite my WMP/BR obsession... I have always liked Rogers Wine Red Ripple. Those look great... we already know how they sound!! :-)

Taffy... pulled strawberry taffy.. those are really, really beautiful.

You got any history on who went to the drum shop and said, "Gimme the Red Ripple's".

You gotta have some confidence to grab that kit off the shelf because you know everybody is going to expect big things when you glide in behind that eye candy and pick up the hickory.

Very nice... hope I don't end up gigging with Ol'Scratch.. but I am coveting that kit!

... and by "Ol' Scratch" I'm assuming that you mean... Satan??!! LOL!!! Nah Jim... you can relax... if you were say coveting your neighbor's wife... well ... contingent on one's personal beliefs you might have a problem... but coveting Ploughman's Wine Red Ripple Rogers... NO PROBLEM! Covet freely! :-)

Congratulations on the Powertone. I have one just like it and have had it since I bought my first Rogers set in 1964. They last practically forever. I'm currently restoring a silver and blue laquer set from the early 60's. Any one know the whereabouts of a matching floor tom?
