Ludwig 1955+ pearl finish problem

First of all" Hello " to all drum enthusiast. I just pulled my Ludwig snare out of storage. I purchased it second hand in 1957 and played it until 1962 then put it in storage. The desire to play it again has brought me to restore it to as close to original condition as possible. There is some rust and other cosmetic problems but the pearl finish has yellowed and I would like to bring it back if possible. Any help as to the process to do so is very welcome. Thanks,

So the finish is WMP (white marine pearl)?

8 lugs/white marine pearl. After reading other threads about WMP I have decided that my drum will stay the way it is. It does not affect the sound so what the heck. It's probably not worth a nickel but I wouldn't take a million for it. Thanks.
