Yep, there is no groove per say, but you have to look at it like a different art form... It is what it is.....

HA! I once played a gig with Charlie Rouse (the saxophonist in that video)! No kidding! he was supposed to play with some other guys...They got stranded...I got a call from the club.."Can you put a band together?" So, me and a bass player and a guitarist backed him up. We didn't have any time to rehearse for the gig so we ended up playing a of straight ahead jazz/blues. I was pretty nervous.
