Slingerland bass, did I miss out on a good thing here?

I saw this auction when there was just 20 minutes left. I really don't have the money for this sort of thing right now, but I couldn't resist. It looks like a great item to me, one of the best ones I've seen in a while. I really don't know what it is worth, but I tried to win it and I got beat out at the last second, sniped if you will. What do you think?

Check out all of the stuff the winning bidder has bought lately, does anyone know who this is? Is he a collector or a reseller, cause if he's reselling it, he isn't doing it on eBay under the same name.

I think because the drum was so clean and in excellent shape for its age is why it went so high.

My guess is that possibly the buyer needed this bass drum to complete a kit will sell the other items to make a little money back.

Not a steal for $259 and $60 shipping.
