Hey!
I've got a Zildjian A Series 22" Swish that I bought in '81-'82. I've looking for a replacement cost for insurance purposes, but can't seem to find anything on-line. It's in great shape, is one of my favorites and from what I've seen would probably be pretty difficult to replace. Anybody have any idea what it might be worth (from a replacement standpoint)?

This should be good enough.

Thanks. That's what I was going to go with if I couldn't find anything else. From what I understand, Zildjian made some design changes when they re-named this cymbal the Swish-Knocker (I think that happened sometime in the mid-80's). I believe the original Swish is considered quite desirable. I wanted to beef-up the replacement cost for it, but it's a slim chance I would be able to find a true replacement anyway. Everything I've seen on different auction sites from the late 70's-early 80's has rivets, which mine doesn't, and the price is an asking price. I'd only be guessing if it's actually worth what they are asking for them ($375-400). Anyway, thanks for the reply!

Why don't you talk to Steve Maxwell about an appraisal letter? He provided me with such a letter for a kit I purchased from him.
