This is an old one that looks to be in very good shape. Probably more for a collector than a player. Can anyone venture a guess as to the year and possible value? Thanks in advance.

Is this a 15" or 14" snare drum?

I recently missed out on a W&A catalog that Rob Cook was selling on Ebay. It went for $56! That was the first catalog I have ever seen.

Your drum is early 1900's and has a name which excapes me at the moment.

I have seen similar drums sell for between $150 and $250 and yes, they would not be players drums by todays standards.

Yours looks very clean and original and a fine example.

Wow. You mean to say that a snare this old and in this shape is worth only around $250?
You certainly know more than I, but that seems incredible.
True it's a museum piece and the sound is out of fasion, but is that enough to make the value of something like this plummet?
Could also be a matter of finding the right person (collector) that sees the value in it. Perhaps to complete a collection. Just my 2 cents,
