wow now that's my kind of snare , it look's like it's got some real weight to it . great find love to hear a sound clip of it . Cool1

Thanks for the nice comments,...

To answer a few questions,... it is brass indeed.

The strainer is mechanical but once fine tuned, it works great.

The shell itself is rather light but the lugs and strainer mechanism put indeed a lot of weight to it.
