After many hours of searching for parts, dismantling, cleaning/polishing and then putting it back together, I am finally finished (or at least close) with this project...and very happy with the result!

Yay! It's complete! Beautiful!
There are those out there who say "why?" when it comes to the amount of hours and money it takes to bring some drums back to life. For me, I say "why not?!!" You can't put a price on a job well done and the great feeling it gives you for your accomplishment.
Great job!

I'm definitely with you idrum, its the personal satisfaction you get from restoring anything to its (or close to) original shape. Did it for years with cars, but that is done...now I get the same satisfaction from doing it with drums...why, because I can! This one was even more satisfying, as it was frustrating hunting for the few missing parts, but a really great feeling when you locate it/them.
This was probably the hardest of all the drums I've restored, but I think the most satisfying too.
Thanks to both of you for the kind words!
