This one was a blessing from Steve's joint. He's a wonderful man to deal with, if you've never had the good fortune.
1965 Rogers Buddy Rich "Headliner" in Sparkling Red Pearl. 20,12,14,14sn
This 65 "Headliner" was ordered with the optional 14 floor and a matching powertone snare. It came with the cymbal arm, cymbal snap, tom holder, and very cool one piece swivo pedal. I was shocked at just how cool that pedal performed. I picked up the four stands from a member off another forum. He made a package deal for an unreal price - I am indebted to him for that blessing. I'll give you a hint ... I told Steve what I paid for all four stands; he coughed and said, "oh my GOD!" It was a seriously cool deal.
The kit really didn't need any cleaning up. I'll work the stands a bit better in time, but I couldn't wait any longer to set them up and play 'em. ... wow ...
What a wonderful tone.
Still haven't managed to figure out the perfect angles for the tom mount. I've never been a HUGE fan of adjusting the swivo tom mounts. They are absolutely fantastic once you get them set ... but ... getting them set is a royal pain. So, I'll futz around with this one for another week or so.
This red glass is seriously difficult to photograph! I now realize that I've passed on quite a few kits due to the camera work. Oh well ... live and learn.
