Thanks to all for your kind comments. I almost have to pinch myself whenever I walk in the "man cave" and see them sittin there. I'm very glad that I decided to go for these when I first came upon them instead of doing my usual should I or shouldn't I routine. You snooze you lose! I've gained a lot of knowledge from VDF. Yep..Standards were my first new Ludwig kit,12/13/16/22/14"chrome snare,in blue mist.My first wife and my former mother in law hounded me till I sold them in 77.I should have known then,and ran full speed in the opposite direction.

Ahhh... first wives... (and their mothers). This is funny in a sick kinda way... That was the very reason I got rid of mine in '74. Should have gotten rid of the wife instead, as I wised up and did eventually. Fortunately for me, I got a good lead and was able to find the drums.

Wow, I really didn't know they did that wrap on 14's. I don't know why I didn't realize it. I did know they made those single rack tom kits and 20" bass drums.

How cool!

Also, I've heard that they used the classic lugs when the standard lugs were in short supply. Just as I know they used the classic shells. One of my rack toms has the white, classic interior.

Mine are dated 1969.
