Removing paint from Ludwig wraps

I have a Ludwig Standard strata wrap drum outfit. My friend, whom I bought it from in 1983, - started to spray paint or brush paint the tom toms.

I need to remove this paint without destroying the wrap finish.

What can I use to remove this paint ?
