Flat COB shell no lines! Had a non-period 3 point strainer on it when I got it, BUT I had a period correct one at the house. It was a match made in heaven.

This one competes with my Super Sound King for favorite metal snare which makes a lot of sense since its the same shell haha)

Quick question some of the lugs are pushed into the shell a hair. Doesn't hurt tuning or sound, but is there anyway to correct this? Or should I not even bother?

with a soft rubber hammer you can beat the dents back into place, place a towel on both side of the shell as to not scratch the shell use light medium pressure with the rubber hammer or mallet the brass is soft and mandible. easy fix if properly performed.

Awesome I'll look around for a rubber mallet next time I'm at the hardware store

Agree, used rubber mallet on a few of my Rogers Dynas/Powertones... thanks to some "expert" packing by Ebay sellers! But, take it slow to protect the chome finish.

This is my first post
Proud to "recover" my Slingerland 1970īs Chrome Metal 6.5 x 14 Sound King Snare Drum.
I bought it 1976; the same guy that sold it to me, stoled it in 1996 asking if he can record the sound of this masterpiece...he change it for DRUGS!;last month I found the same snare in E-bay; bought it!
QUESTION it not have the original strainer...what is the exact model that fit to my snare drum? The ZOOMATIC?
Thanks Folks!!
Michael
