My son is a HUGE fan of the TMNT ... has been since he was a tiny tot (he's now in the military). Anyway, I wrote the creators for permission to have a special one-off snare built utilizing their images. I was finally granted written permission from the boys and sent that to REMO. They built me the drum to my exact (read - anal retentiveness) specs. They did a wonderful job. Even the hardware is a translucent green. Very cool.

My son is in the new issue of The Flash. He's buds with Geoff Johns (or however you spell his name) and was immortalized in issue 10 of the current run. Pretty neato stuff.I recall some of this story now, but Man that's Awesome! Only in America! electricit

Cool!! How do you like the Sound King? I really want to pick one up :). Having grown up in the 80's and early 90's I am a huge fan of the TMNT snare. Super cool!

My favorite snare to play is the Krupa. It's got an amazing feel and response. It can play calm and quiet and then immediately change gears to viscous.
I've always liked the Supra for quiet jazz work because it's SO controlled. But, that's all it does well. It can rock, but nothing like the Krupa. The Rogers completes my kit. It plays alright. That's all I'll say about it. The wood snares play like wood snares. All are brilliant and warm and woody and oh so comfortable. Masterfully built and an honor to own.

Love the Blue Agate Slingy, I have the kit to go with it but I don't have the snare. I'm always on the look out for one. Maybe the Chicago show will have one this year. Great pile of drums. Don't you just love putting them all in a bunch, makes you smile doesn't it?Yes Sir

I've just never felt the need to document snares. Don't know why, just hadn't. As bizare as it sounds, I've never done it before. I think the most snares I've ever had at any given time was pushing twenty ... but my memory has never been my strong suit. From those weak numbers, It should be pretty clear that I've never been a collector or any other such goofiness. I just plays whats i gots.
I got bored waiting around for an appointment, so I decided to stack 'em. Gotta admit, it was neat seeing them all close together and playing nice.
