It took me quite a while, but I finally got this RK back together. I purchased the shell and some hardware from a forum member. Thanks Deadhead. I have been searching for parts about a year I think, maybe longer? I had to reglue the Re-rings in some places and some cosmetic repairs inside the shell. I have some non original parts as well. But it looks and sounds pretty good. I bought the hoops, the butt end snare gate, Puersound vintage snare wires, the muffler and the 3 point strainer. I manufactured the bar on the butt side that holds the snare wire in place. Some of the screws I purchased at ACE hardware. Here are some pics

Time for me to jive in.
Dang cool drum and definitely one to hold close. I love these Slingys. So doggone classy. No offense to other collectors, but gimme a sweet wood Slingy over those overpriced metal thangs any day of the week. Lovely. Simply lovely.

Thanks for the kind words guys. I really like how this drum sounds. I have an Aquarian vintage head on it now, but I want to put another head on it. I have a clear ambassador on the snare side that I'm happy with. I'm thinking a coated Ambassador for the batter. Any suggestions from other RK players? . . . .James
