View Full Version : Ludwig, Rogers, Camco
I finally have a bit of room to set my three kits up, I gotta admit they look real purty sitting next to each other.

Man, I dig those Camcos...are those Chanute or LA? I dont know if there was Clear Maple available back in the Oaklawn days...
Thanks folks for the kind comments, glad you likes. Maybe I should say a little about each set.
The Camco's are early 70's Chanute era drums, 22,13,16 and sound amazing. I got them from a fellow forum member from Sydney. I am currently getting together the set of matching hardware, cymbal stand, bass pedal and throne still to come and a Chanute badged snare of coarse. Set is shown with my 60's Ludwig Acrolite.
The Rogers are mid 60's Cleveland drums 20,12,14 and sound incredible. I got them from another fellow forum member, they can be seen in 'The Rogers Book' along with the rest of Gary's amazing collection. I have a matching wood Powertone and 7 Line Dynasonic snares too. It also has a complete set of matching hardware.
The Ludwig's are my sentimentle favourites, 22,13,16 and sound fantastic. They are my first set of vintage drums that I got about 13 years ago. I love the faded silver sparkle look, many great times had behind these drums. I have a matching wood Pioneer, COB Supra, Alloy Supra and the Acro snares to go with this set. This kit also has a complete original set of hardware.
As you can see I am in need of more cymbals. I have one set of 60's Zildjian's shown on the Rogers. I think I will continue the theme of variety with a set of Paiste formula 602's. It never ends!!!

Great drums!!! Careful what you wish for. I wished for more space and ended up building a 28x40 drum shop behind my house. Think of all the drums I could have bought with the money I put into my building. DOH

wow...3 fantastic drumsets, your a lucky guy, and not only that but look at all the space you have,,wonder what kit you are gonna get next !!!!!
Thanks Diamond, I really like your list of drum sets, interesting stuff there, care to share some pics?
Next I am dreaming of a mid 60's Slingerland kit in red sparkle, then maybe a Gretsch round badge kit in champagne sparkle, then move on to European flavoured drums, Sonor, Trixon, Premier!!! not that I will be able to afford anymore for quite a while....
It's a double garage so yeah plenty more room for vintage drums!
cheers

Quite a nice collection. I am a Camco and Rogers lover, although I like Ludwig brass snares too.

Odd seeing my old Camco kit in someone else's collection. That's a first for me. I hope you're enjoying 'em.
