custom coctail set I built from a Slingerland 20 inch convertable bass a from the late 40's a circa 1930 marching snare also Slingerland converted to a tom. also I added a Noth tom I hand painted flames on from the 70's and topped it of with a pearl firecracker snare from the 90's

I am not into flames on vans or drums but these vintage Slingerland convertibles are very nice- you're lucky. Congrats

When I first looked at the picture, it confused me. Wondering what it was you had 'concocted'.
Then, getting a GOOD look at the picture of the kit...

yes one of those, the first one i think, it has old fashioned clips for the top rim
when i got it ,it had a wierd home made timpany system for lugs that made about 3 extra holes per lug. i removed the broken sparkle wrap filled the holes and put a wood venier of angrie a african maple the north tom was in very bad shape and i did some autobody work to it then had to paint it
the slingerland field snare had total hacked bearing edges they were routered
stripped stained and finished to be as close to the 20 " bass as possible.
saved from landfill as these were picked from the trash at the side of the road
