I have a pair of snares made from 14" Jasper shells, and I am already using Aquarian American Vintage heads on both. I am looking for suggestions regarding hoops [preferably modern manufacture, 2.3 mm, triple-flange chrome] ... that are as generously sized in "T-rod hole OD" as possible, or in other words, "What's the best hoop available, size-wise, for wrapped Jasper shells?" More than one person has suggested Gretsch ... Your collective thoughts?

Thanks!

From what I know Gretsch and Fibes use Jasper shells. Check out the Fibes site....http://www.fibes.com/pdf/rims.pdf.

The fibes warehouse is not accepting orders until 2/23. apparently they are moving their mfg plant.
