Although I'm not a big fan of vintage parade/marching drums and realize that the interest in them is minimal at best, I do have a vintage Rogers parade drum as well as a Camco parade drum in my current collection. Both are in what I consider to be outstanding condition, both functionally as well as cosmetically.

I bring out this particular Rogers drum each year during the Christmas season and strap it on a Santa Claus figurine I display in my music/family room. The "little ones" who stop over during the holidays get quite a kick out of it.

The drum itself is from the Cleveland-era (S/N 8721) and has its original Rogers 393 Bantam strainer mounted on the shell, original Rogers script batter side head, original Rogers script badge, original Rogers (12) snare wires and original Rogers Newport Model label on the factory-painted grey interior shell.

Hey, Kevin!

Well, I don't have the room decorated yet for the holidays, but I threw "The Fat Man" in there.

Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours!

I always wondered what Santa did the rest of the year. He is out gigging.;)

Outstanding drum!
I just came up from playing my gretsch kit downstairs & I was using the vary same sticks as your Santa has there. Been using them for the past week.
I like your fireplace .....nice photos & some music history - very cool.

I really hate to be "pickey" but the sling goes over the RIGHT shoulder to the LEFT hip. Nice drum though.;)
