hi,
I just bought an old slingerland snaredrum that sounds like a bell! my god
But I am a bit puzzeled with this snaredrums' actual identity.
It is a blue sparkle ,5" or 5,5" deep wooden snare , light weight so it's a real thin shell. It has this type of slingerland fast strainer. And it has the black/brass badge from the sixties saying "Niles, illinois. The inside coating is sort of creamy white.
But it has only 6 lugs?! And no extra holes.
I looked all over on the net and couldn't find a matching Slingerland snare with only 6 lugs.

Hope somebody can help me with this

Could we get a picture of that. It sounds like a student model snare
since those were 6 lugs, but I have never heard the interior referred
to as creamy white, usually creamy brown.

I think what you have is a Deluxe Student Model with a rapid strainer

Hi,

will try to post a picture later. The inside could be called very , very light creamy brown. I also forgot to mention that the hoops are crome over brass sticksaver hoops.
Thanx for the info
