1960 to 1963 5 1/2 x 14 midnight blue pearl 6 lug snare with die cast single flanged rims with clips. I have been trying to get parts for this but E Bay is crazy. Is this drum worth more with the 6 hole double flange rims? Does it sound better or the same with the 6 hole rims? Right now it is using some Kent steel single flange rims as the original rims are all bent up. It also needs a Renown Throw Off but managed to fit a Pearl Strainer on the Renown frame(that was all it came with) with out drilling any holes. Brought this drum in the early eighties for $10 with the trashed Kent snare. Is it worth putting back to original? With E Bay it seems the parts cost as much or more than the selling price of a similar snare. Also the seam is starting to lift. Is contact cement a acceptable fix?

Is it single tension or double? Post a picture. I have a single tension, 6 point Gretsch (I say six point because it uses a t-rod guide as opposed to lugs) and it is less than a $200 drum. It sounds great though.

Having camera problems so no picture. 6 lugs with 1 top and 1 bottom tension rods and the rims held on by clips.
